Highly supports the levy

Dear Editor,

I hope that everyone will take a moment to read and ponder this short article.

I was recently involved in a vehicle accident that could have been much worse and I’m thankful to God that it wasn’t. However I was for the first time in need of an ambulance.

Within just a few short minutes following my daughter’s phone call to 911, the Tyler County Sheriff’s Department and EMS arrived at the accident. I was barley coherent but my daughter said they came pouring in driving their own personal vehicles. These are people who were going about their own lives and daily routines, who stopped what they were doing in a heartbeat to rush to the rescue of someone they didn’t even know. They were so kind, caring and concerned. One woman even took off her own sweater and held over my face to keep me dry from the rain. Since the accident they have even been asking about my condition and how I was recovering. My thanks and gratitude go out to all of you who gave your time to help another. I for one will definitely vote “YES FOR EMS”. Until you need them you never know how important these people are.
