Dear Editor:

The Annual Picnic in the Park Celebration held on July 11 was a huge success with a record crowd. On behalf of the Sistersville Community Service Organization, a special thanks and much appreciation for donations given by the following: First Federal Savings Bank, Union Bank, WesBanco, Sistersville IGA (for the free Coke and ice cream), City of Sistersville, Merchants, Organizations, Individuals, and vendors.

Recognition is given to VFW and American Legion for the flag ceremony, Zambelli Fireworks for a magnificent display and entertainment by The True Country Band and Mixx. Our organization believes that the event is an ideal time for everyone to come out and celebrate our nation’s birth, honor our area veterans and to enjoy one another’s company. The date of the 2011 Celebration is scheduled for Sunday, July 10.
