From Freda Taylor
Dear Editor,
I’m writing this letter on behalf of the Riverfront seniors. Have you been by our facility and seen our new sidewalk? We owe our thanks to our good major, Dave Fox and the city employees who worked so hard to put it in. They have been good about keeping the water holes filled with gravel.
While I’m saying thanks, I want to include Ken Hunt for his very generous gift to our kitchen. Hunt is Riverfront representative on the board at Tyler County Senior Center. Let’s not forget Jim Ash of Alma for his help in getting money to repair our kitchen. (We won’t forget Colleen for her introduction) To Gary Hissom and Co. for their fine work on our kitchen.
Thanks also goes to Jim King. He is a very big supporter at Riverfront especially at Marble Fest time.
Did you see our new flags donated by Roger Romine? The officers of the V.F.W. raised the flags. (A gift from the V.F.W. is also one of our generous supporters. And not to forget the bank, the red hot club and all the other donors. (You know who you are).
To Karen Torter at the Co-op. To Steve Taylor and Mary Fisher for their help in our clothing room.
To Vivian Reil, we love you. Not only for your diligent work, but for your good heart.
Birthday wishes to Wesley Smith, Sue Baker, June Zagle and Ginger Underwood.
