SGH to hold health screenings
Dear Editor,
Sistersville General Hospital Foundation held their annual benefit golf tournament Sept. 23. The event raised over $9,000. This event would not be a success without the support of the community and those who believe in SGH.
We are extremely grateful to our level one sponsor who contributed $1,000 or more to the tournament. Our 2009 level one sponsor was Union Bank.
We were fortunate to have cosponsors for the hole-in-one prize. The opportunity to win $25,000 or a new car was provided by First Federal Savings Bank and the Dailey Corporation.
The Foundation was the receipt of 27 hole sponsors. Sponsorships were financed by Dr. Richard Stender, West Virginia Health Services, Inc., H.E. Neumann Co., Commercial Insurance, PPG, Phillips Pharmacy, New Martinsville Moose Lodge, Delegate Roger Romine, Lifeguard Medical Supply, Parkersburg Cardiology Associates, Universal Telecom Services, Thomas L. Gilligan, D.O. and Staff, National Hospital Collections, USF Healthcare Consulting, Burdette Group, STAT MEDEVAC, Grisell Funeral Home, Linda Leasure, State Farm Insurance Agent, Morris Sales, Lilac Twig, Sistersville General Hospital Family Practice Physicians, Sistersville General Hospital Emergency Room Physicians, and Jackson Flanagan, M.D. Thank you for your donations.
The Foundation received in-kind donations from Robert Sullivan, Kay Weltz, Tech Depot, West Virginia Hospital Association, 93RRR, Seneca Medical, Stonewall Resort, Linda Davison, Elliott Thrasher, Marcia Pawloski, Friendly Lions Club, Camden Clark Memorial Hostipal, Mike Hall, Katrina and Rodney Byers, Mary Thomas, and Tri-Tec Medical. Please accept our gratitude.
Reverend Dennis Shirer, of the Sistersville Nazarene Church, thank you for taking time from your very busy schedule to ask God’s blessings on our participants and our facility.
Ted Hayes and Jerry Richardson, many thanks for your assistance, support and hard work, we appreciate your willingness to give so much.
Thank you Foundation Members Vice-President Beri Fox, Secretary Katrina Byers and Sistersville Hospital CEO Brain Lowther for donating your day and your hard work to prepare lunch and dinner, keep a constant supply of beverages, and the cleaning up. Thank you seems like such an inadequate expression of our gratitude.
Mike Hall, thank you for allowing us to share the day through your photos.
Melody Reed, thank you for your support, comfort, and handling each situation as it arose. You are a blessing!
To those who helped to make this event a success, we are deeply indebted and we share with you the personal satisafation it inspires. We take comfort in being able to count on you to support our work.
Sistersville General Hospital belongs to all of us and we exist because of your dedicated support.
Together we can make a difference!
Gratefully yours,
Diana Rice
