It seems as though we no longer live in reality. Changes in society are taking place faster than we can keep up with. Many times throughout the years we have watched as lawmakers have brought distinct changes that affect many, but help few. But, as citizens bent on obeying the law of the land we have adapted to the rules and accepted the inevitable. While not always for the better!

We are now faced with a growing number of the population who blindly follow leaders on both sides of the isle regardless of the consequences. The country has slipped into darkness and confusion and has pulled our culture down with it.

We are not taking tiny steps forward, we are taking giant steps backward. Our American way of government that has made us such a great nation is fading way before our own very eyes. Who would have thought it would happen this way? After attacks on our liberty by foreign adversaries on September 11.2001, our nation rose to the occasion and joined forces like hadn’t been seen in decades. However, just 20 short years later we have divided ourselves, and separated our forces of togetherness that made us the greatest nation ever.

Many mistakes have been made throughout world history, but the largest my every nation that ever failed was putting their faith and trust in man and man alone. That seems to be where we are at! Blindfolded to reality. The American empire is failing, it is failing because of our own self interests, our unwillingness to set aside differences and work together.

Our military might is eroding. We sit back and watch as our adversaries build on our failures. We send our jobs overseas and wonder why we have shortages. We have failed in the last three major conflicts, (Vietnam, Irag and Afghanistan). Instead of working together through alliances and international treaties, we withdraw and try to stand on one leg, giving lame excuses.

Our political system is quickly moving backwards, with signs of no return to normalacy. Who would have immagined just 20 years ago that there would be such hate in the land of the free and the brave? Who would have believed that millionaires would be a dime a dozen, while ordinary people including veterans and disabled are homeless and hungry?

Not only has hate taken over, but lawlessness abounds. Lying has become the norm and all respect has been lost. There was a time not long ago when lack of respect was blamed on the younger generation. It has now rubbed off on most politicians and those seeking places of authority, and age is not a factor.

We are falling hard back into the economic pattern of debt slavery to replace our long history of debt freedom. This is one pattern our young people cannot be blamed for, we as adults have lost contact with American history. We have forgotten the past and turned to hate filled news reports and politicians set on dividing us further to enhance their own agenda, “Money” the root of all evil.

Our nation as a whole relies less and less on education, and more and more on the corrupt word of people seeking fame and fortune. Hate-filled web sites have taken the place of many educational sites, contributing greatly to our demise. People warmly embrace the kind of excess consumption that leads to addiction, anxiety, depression, chronic disease, and early death by suicide, viral infection, or automatic weapon.

Religion no longer provides any kind of effective ethical or moral compass for society like it once did. We are divided from within, with many calling for bloodshed. Cothing, bumper stickers, yard signs, flags and all sorts of commercials openly display vulgar language for our young people to see and hear. There was a time when the President of the United States was highly regarded by the nation and it’s elected officals. However since 2016 that has all changed. Even the language coming out of the mouths of the past two Presidents would have been fighting words if spoken to our children or parents.

We have reached a point of injustice. No one is held accountable, rules are now made to be broken, laws are not enforced and penalties are weak. If we are to survive we must join hands and work out our problems. We must return to an education system that begins early, and we must rely on our faith to get us through. Kids need to learn values and morals. But more importantly many adults suffer from the same fate. Lack of respect, moral decay, lack of education and the terrible deadly disease of hate. We are living on “The eve of Destruction.”
