Merry Christmas From the Tyler Star News Staff
Christmas is here, and if you are like the staff of your local paper, there is still so much to be done in preparation for the big day.
At a weekly newspaper, we are always mindful of the next week – the next edition. However, the ever-approaching date of Dec. 25 still seemed to sneak upon us.
We suspect this is the same for many, regardless of occupation. We are certain many of our readers still have gift wrapping, or purchasing, to do.
There is still perhaps a Christmas card, or two, to be signed and mailed. Christmas is supposed to be “the most wonderful time of the year.” Yet it seems easy to lose the comfort and joy in the hustle and bustle, let alone the struggles life itself can bring.
We sincerely hope each and every one of our readers finds a bit of Christmas happiness. Take a moment to enjoy the twinkling Christmas lights, commit a random act of kindness, find humor in the cute Letters to Santa section we’ve published this week.
Forget the stresses and distractions for a moment, and try to find some peace in the inspiration the season can bring.
Merry Christmas, from your community newspaper.
