Remembering Katy Wells
We were quite saddened this past weekend to hear of the passing of Katy Wells. Our thoughts and our prayers are with her family, her friends, and her first response family.
As many are well aware, Wells was a well-known fixture in our county and its communities. She gave decades of her life to helping others as a paramedic with Middlebourne EMS.
The Tyler Star News published an article in November 2017 about Wells, as she had been selected as the grand marshal for that year’s Christmas parade in Middlebourne. Wells had reflected on her service as a paramedic, noting she began working with Middlebourne EMS in 1974. During her interview, Wells had stated, “You have to have a positive attitude in everything you do. It is important.”
May we remember those words, as we remember Wells and her life of selflessness and service.
