Enjoy Books During National Library Week
Last week, we brought to you the idea of taking part in Sistersville Elementary School’s Scholastic Book Fair. This week, we continue the endeavor of enjoying books, through the opportunity to appreciate your local libraries during National Library Week.
If you haven’t visited your local library in a while, we urge you to take the opportunity to discover what treasures await behind its doors. With the constant progression of technology, one might think libraries would fall by the wayside. This is certainly not the case. In fact, libraries have grown with technology. Information is more accessible than ever with tools such as an Interlibrary Loan, for instance.
Libraries offer a plethora of books, of course, and they also offer a safe haven for the youngest members of our communities. Besides encountering various adventures through the pages of a book, our local libraries offer regular fun events for our children, now more than ever.
Check out our front page story, and then check out your local library in person. You will certainly want to return.
