Waters Are A Concern For Municipalities
A common theme among small towns lately have been the problems of water and sewage.
Middlebourne, Sistersville, and Paden City are all having their fair share of issues in regards to water lines, water runoff, and sewage. Have the systems in place become so old that they can no longer perform their task adequately? Most of the systems in these cities are working very effectively but when the severe summer storms hit, they bring too much water for these cities to control.
Knowing this, what can be done to better prepare for these flash floods to allow the storm drains and sewage plants to better handle the influx of water? Whatever the solution may be, we commend those workers that battle these water issues whenever they arise.
