Dawson Will be Missed

By Staff | Apr 6, 2016

The Tyler County Community should brace itself for the loss of a man of the cloth, Reverend Bill Dawson of the Sistersville United Methodist Church.

Dawson will be leaving for Ritchie County in June, after eight years in Sistersville. He has been appointed pastor of the Harrisville UMC.

Dawson is a familiar voice at many meetings where he offers a prayer before proceedings begin. He has served his community in numerous other ways as well, as detailed in the story in today’s paper.

In recent months, Dawson shared his experiences with us after a tour of the Holy Land. His message of hope and renewal is inspiring not only to his congregation, but to the folks of Tyler County as well.

“I have enjoyed calling Sistersville and Tyler County our home,” Dawson said. “I hope one day to look back on my time spent in Sistersville and see that I really did make a positive difference for the church, the community of Sistersville, and the people of Tyler County.”

Mr. Dawson – you certainly should know that you have made a difference.

Good luck, and remember, there will always be a place for you in Tyler County.
