Support Urged for Ham, Bacon, Egg Sale
The Star News would like to encourage everyone to come out and support the 66th Tyler Ham, Bacon and Egg Sale this Thursday at Tyler Consolidated High School. The pre-sale buyers’ reception begins at 5:30 p.m. and the auction starts at 6:30 p.m.
Much of the money raised from the sale goes toward the future academic endeavors of these TCHS students. The time and effort invested in raising these hogs is impressive, and well worth it.
These carefully cured hams will make your Easter meal something to remember. The country-cured bacon is high quality meat that makes the mouth water before breakfast is served.
And is there anything better than fresh, homemade bread? Of course not.
Raising and creating these products instills the values essential to these future farmers of America. Those values are part and parcel of why Tyler County is a great place to live and work. Here’s hoping for a great turnout, and show of support.
