It was several months back when the discussion of Tyler County Home came to the commissioners floor. Children were entering the property and it was considered a safety hazard. The pricey and extensive renovation has caused a fair amount of discussion, especially since it concerns a piece of Tyler County history.

The preservation is important, and commissioners are aware of this, but it leads to the question of can the county afford it?
