Famous Thoughts on Christmas
There are only two days until Christmas. Two! Where has the year gone? Soon, 2016 will be upon us, and we will start anew. It’s an opportunity to carry the idea of giving throughout the entire year, and not just focus on it for a season. Consider a few famous quotes and the message they convey:
“You must give sometime to your fellow men. Even if it’s a little thing, do something for others-something for which you get no pay but the privilege of doing it.”
“Christmas gift suggestions: to your enemy, forgiveness. To an opponent, tolerance. To a friend, your heart. To a customer, service. To all, charity. To every child, a good example. To yourself, respect.”
“I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year.”
-Charles Dickens, Ebeneezer Scrooge, A Christmas Carol
It sounds like such a simple idea, but how many of us really consider this all throughout the year? Wouldn’t it be nice if we all did?
