Halloween Shouldn’t Be Scary for Parents

By Staff | Nov 3, 2015

Halloween is supposed to be a time full of fun and treats. It should not be a time when parents have to worry about malicious acts aimed at their children or pets. Over the weekend a razor blade was reportedly found in a fun size candy bar in Middlebourne.

Every year, around Halloween, rumors began to circulate about a new drug that looks like candy, or candy being laced with drugs, being given to children. It creates panic and worry for parents.

Not only are children not safe from possible harm, but pets as well. In recent weeks, a black cat in Sistersville had its left ear cut off. The cat had to be put down.

It’s baffling why someone would try to intentionally harm child or a pet. Hopefully, whoever is responsible for these sick acts will be brought to justice.
