More law enforcement presence is needed in our county. The drug problem is the most obvious reason for the increased demand for officers, but don’t be discouraged if you don’t see more drug arrests immediately. Even on that front, officers do more than drug arrests.Much of an officer’s time is spent on paperwork and court hearings.
In fact, because a large indictment for drug-related matters was made this summer, more time in court is now necessary.
It is all part of the process and necessary in the war on drugs.
