Celebrate with your Community

By Staff | Mar 27, 2013

With Easter quickly approaching, many have made plans to travel while others are hosting a gathering for family and friends. Whatever your plans may be, if you are in the area, Tyler County is filled with various Easter celebrations this weekend. Local organizations, along with community members, work diligently to organize these events, so why not support your community and take advantage of them?

On Saturday, the Middlebourne Easter Celebration is being held at 11 a.m. at the old Tyler High Football Field. Some of the activities include an egg hunt, hat contest with prizes, and even a visit with the Easter Bunny. An Easter Egg Hunt will also be held at the Sistersville City Park at 11:30 a.m. with the Easter Bunny in attendance. Prizes include two large Easter baskets, one for a boy and one for a girl.

With the weather slightly warming up this weekend, both celebrations would be perfect for families.

Churches all over the community are holding worship services throughout the week recognizing Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and of course, Easter Sunday.

So, whatever puts a bunny hop in your step, choose an event and support your community.
