Why buy local?
Because you can.
There are several small, local businesses in our area who really really need our help this holiday season.
Small businesses are the foundation of our economy half of America’s workers either own or work for a small business. Buying gifts close to home affords us the opportunity to support our friends and neighbors who are growing our local economy.
Small businesses have generated two out of every three net new jobs over the past 15 years and employ over half of all private sector employees. These small-business are creating jobs, while boosting our unsteady economy. They are also preserving our neighborhoods for generations to come.
Tyler County has been blessed with a bevy of small business offerings, including and an award winning condiment company and several highly talented crafters and artisans. If we are spending money, why not support the local economy, too! It’s a win-win!
