Recently, Sistersville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6327 Ladies Auxilary established a fund to purchase flags for the City of Sistersville.

For a $20 donation, a flag can be purchased in memory or in honor of an individual or group and flown on certain holidays in Sistersville. Names of those purchasing flags as well as the names of those the flags are purchased for will appear in the Tyler Star News.

Please note that flags can be purchased in honor or in memory of anyone – he or she does NOT have to be a veteran.

At least 145 flags need to be purchased as soon as possible in order to get the flags flying by Veteran’s Day. These American flags are made in America, and not cheap imitations from a foreign country.

Donations may be sent to: Wesbanco, 250 Charles St., Sistersville, WV 26175 or VFW Post 6327, 504 Diamond St., Sistersville, WV 26175. Checks should be made payable to the “VFW Auxiliary Flag Fund”.
