As another Thanksgiving draws closer, we stop to ponder the things and people in our lives for which we are most thankful.

For many, it’s our jobs, shelter, food on the table and the love and support of our families.

For the staff at the Tyler Star News, it is all of those things and the wonderful people in our lives. But we are also thankful to be part of such an amazing community.

We are thankful for the columnists who lend their writing expertise to give our newspaper community appeal and to the clubs and organizations who submit articles and photographs.

We are thankful for our weekly and sometimes daily visitors (Bob Tippins and Joe Jones to name two). We are thankful for the readers, for the letters and even the criticism that comes our way.
