Lighting up the night
It has been said there are two kinds of light – the glow that illuminates and the glare that obscures.
In our every day lives, we must strive to be the kind of people who light the way for others rather than those who cover our tracks, muddy the road and leave our neighbors to fall behind.
It was wonderful to see people coming from all parts of Tyler County to celebrate Independence Day in the Sistersville Park. A strong sense of community could be felt all over. It seemed that for a brief moment in time, it didn’t matter what school you went to or what mascot held your admiration. Everyone connected and shared from afternoon into the evening.
Those who had their hand in planning the festivities are to be commended, as there truly was something for everyone that day.
From country music to gospel and a climbing wall to wrestling matches, smiles illuminated the night like the fourth of July.
