Karl Richard (Dick)

Brookover, 73, of

New Martinsville,

WV, went home to be

with Lord, Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at

WVU Medicine

Wetzel County Hospital New Martinsville,

WV.

He was born January

25, 1953, in New

Martinsville, WV, a

son of the late Melvin

Lee and Betty Jean

Drain Brookover.

Dick will be remembered for his generosity to family, friends,

and community.

Dick graduated from

Magnolia High School

in 1971, and Belmont

Technical College in

1973. He retired from

Ormet as a senior system analyst with 32

years of service. He

was lifetime member

of the Moose Lodge

#931, New Martinsville, served on the

Ohio Valley Community Federal Credit

Union Board of Directors for 15 years, and a

proud member of the

Wetzel Lodge #39

A.F. & A.M. He will

be greatly missed by

his large circle of

friends at the Moose,

daily breakfast club,

and his annual fishing

trip group.

Dick was always

willing to lend a hand

or his machinery to

anyone in need. He

loved traveling, spending time with family

and friends, and grilling for his holiday

cookouts. His kindness, humor, and gentle nature will be

missed by all who

knew him.

In addition to his

parents, he was preceded in death by a

brother, Michael

(Mick) Brookover and

two sisters, Cynthia

Brookover and Barbara Jean Cork.

Surviving siblings

are Cathy (Frank) Dai

Zovi, Donnie (Brenda)

Brookover and Cecilia

(Kevin) Karpacs;

aunts, Marjorie Meeks

and Linda Brookover;

uncle, Bob Brookover;

sister-in-law, Susan

Brookover; brother-inlaw, Alan Cork. He

was beloved uncle and

great uncle to several

nieces and nephews.

Family will receive

friends on Friday, May

15, 2026, from 11am

until time of service at

1:00 pm at the Grisell

Funeral Home & Crematory 751 Third St.

New Martinsville,

WV, with Pastor Greg

Keith officiating.

Interment will follow at Northview

Cemetery New Martinsville, WV.
