DAVID FARHATT

David Irvin Farhatt, age 83, of Middlebourne, WV, passed away peacefully at home after an extended battle with cancer surrounded by his wife and daughters on Thursday, April 2, 2026.

He was born on January 3, 1943, in Middlebourne, WV son of the late Fred and Easter (Bunting) Farhatt. He graduated Tyler County High school and attended Salem College in the 60’s.

David is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Pamela (Moore) Farhatt; his daughters, Dixie Farhatt of Parkersburg, WV and Becki Farhatt Ruble (Gary) of Middlebourne, WV; his grandsons, Gary (Jessie), Andrew (Mary) and Joshua (Sara) Ruble; granddaughter, Kristen Keller; great grand-children, Riley, Lizzie, Hannah, Maeson, and Hudson, as well as closest friend, Dave Leasure and cousin, Mike Farhatt that were like brothers to David; along with several other nieces, nephews and cousins.

David retired as a chemical operator for PPG at the age of 58 and enjoyed many years, hunting, fishing, gardening and some travel with his wife and family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, John Farhatt and sister, Portia Roach.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026 from 6 -8 p.m. at the Middlebourne Baptist Church, 208 Fair St., Middlebourne, WV.
