Edna Marie Monroe

Edna Marie Monroe, 79, of Alma, WV passed peacefully on Thursday, January 29, 2026 while at her home.

Edna was born March 11, 1946, in Bearsville, WV daughter of the late Ernest and Anna Victoria (Davis) Monroe.

She was a graduate of Tyler County High School, owner of the Sancho Oil and Gas company. Edna worked for several years at a garment factory. She enjoyed farming, checking on her cows, spending time with her grandchildren, watching westerns and the Grand Ole Opry.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her life long companion, Loren Bagley.

Surviving is her son, Terry (Beth) Monroe of Alma, WV; granddaughter, Ariel (Elijah Hayes) of Alma, WV and two great grandsons, Mathew Bassett and Colton Dowbeck and several friends.

Friends received 3 to 7 p.m., Monday, February 2, 2026 at the Furbee Williams Funeral Home, 7908 Middle Island Rd, Alma, WV where services will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 3, 2026 with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery.
