Gary Thomas Sandy

Gary Thomas Sandy, 80, of Stoneville, NC went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. He was born September 18, 1945 in Steubenville, OH to the late Lloyd and Marie (Clevenger) Sandy. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Jo Sandy Alderman.

Gary was a member of Camp Herman Baptist Church, where he accepted the Lord as his savior. He was also an avid golfer who spent many mornings on the golf course next to his childhood home in Sistersville, WV. He also enjoyed the outdoors in other ways while fishing or hunting.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Peggy and their beloved dog, Peanut. Also surviving are his children: Tammy Chaput (Keith), Marcy Hackney (Allen), Marci Tawney (Joel), Brad Napier (Sarah) and Todd Napier (Jen); his nine grandchildren: Joseph, Jordyn (Tim), Christina, Shawana (Alec), Alicia, Dakota, Sierra, Alyssa and Makayla; 1 great granddaughter, Izabelle; and expecting 2 new, sweet great granddaughters he will smile down on from above in 2026; also surviving is his brother, Tim Sandy (Virginia).

At the family’s request, there will be no service at this time and a celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Gary will be forever missed and always loved!
