Paul J. Fairbee

Paul J. Fairbee, 92, Ben’s Run, Tyler County, WV, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Belmont Healthcare with daughter Paula and son-in-law Charlie by his side. Born in Tyler County, WV, on October 25, 1933, he was a son of the late Fred A. and Susie Stevens Fairbee. He worked at the phone company, Weirton Steel and for Ormet for 38 years. Paul worked with his wife remodeling houses. He attended Pine Grove Baptist Church.

He is survived his wife of 62 years, Rosalie Metts Fairbee; three daughters, Jacqueline C. (Steve) Hawkins, Joyce R. (Darian) Collins, and Paula J. (Charlie) Chidester; five grandchildren, Ryan Young, Rachel Slonaker, Robbie Bills, Paul Bills, and Caitlyn Heath; nine great-grandchildren, Sophia Slonaker, Jaxon Slonaker, Abel Slonaker, Bryce Bills, Brodie Bills, John Bills, Journey Bills, Isabella Heath, and Coen Heath; two step-great-granddaughters, Addy and Annie Bills; two sisters, Louise Higgins, and Elizabeth Alcock; and one brother, Charles Fairbee. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Carl and Walter, one infant brother, and five sisters, Viola Robin, Nina Smith, Carol Sue Leek, Naomi Masters, and Betty Ingold. The family would like to say a special thanks to Journey Hospice, Belmont Healthcare Staff, and Dr. David Montgomery for Paul’s care.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, WV. Burial will follow in Pleasants Memorial Estates. Friends may call from 12 to 2 P.M. at the funeral home. An online guest register is available at www.ingramfh.com.
