Bowden, 69, of

Clarksburg, WV,

passed away on

Wednesday, June 4,

2025 at United Hospital Center in

Bridgeport after an extended illness. She

was born in

Clarksburg on August

21, 1955, a daughter

of the late Rene Victor and Hilda (Bent)

Zabeau.

Vickie is survived

by her husband of

nearly 49 years, Gary

Richard Bowden

whom she married on

June 19, 1976; two

sons: Beau Gregory

Bowden (Ann Kincaid

Bowden) and their

children Belle Renee

and Maggie Cecilia of

Redondo Beach, CA,

and Bradley Taylor

Bowden (Trisha Svirskas) of Harrisburg,

PA; and two sisters:

Judy Zabeau Shepherd

of Sellersburg, IN, and

Barbara Elaine Norteman (Charles) of Hilton Head Island, SC.

Vickie graduated

from Notre Dame

High School Class of

1973, attended WV

Business College, and

then attended Salem

College where she studied art and finance.

She worked many

years as a relationship

banker at the former

Lowndes Bank in

Clarksburg. Vickie

was a long-standing

member of Immaculate

Conception Catholic

Church in Clarksburg

and more recently also

attended Holy Rosary

Catholic Church in

Sistersville, WV.

She enjoyed genealogy and researching

her family’s Belgian

ancestry. She served as

President of the Belgian American Historical

Society which was established by her late

father. She enjoyed

flowers and gardening,

and for several years

was av member of the

Goff Plaza Garden

Club. Vickie had a

love of decorating, interior design, furniture

restoration, and art,

especially water

colors.

Family and friends

will be received at the

Davis-Weaver Funeral

Home 329 E. Main

Street Clarksburg,

WV, on Thursday,

June 12, 2025 from 3

until 8pm. A Prayer

Vigil will be held that

evening at 7:30. A

Mass of Christian

Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 13,

2025 at 10am at Our

Lady of Perpetual

Help Catholic Church

in Stonewood, WV

with Reverend Father

Casey Mahone as

Celebrant.

Interment will follow at Elkview Masonic Cemetery.
