Donald “Fletch” Ralph Fletcher

Donald “Fletch” Ralph Fletcher, 84, of Middlebourne, WV left this world on Tuesday, April 9, 2025 while at Ruby Memorial Hospital.

Fletch was born April 3, 1941, on Fletcher’s Hill, Tyler County, WV son of the late William M and Sally M. (Pollay) Fletcher.

He was a retired equipment operator for the former Ormet, he enjoyed throwing horseshoes and listening to country music. Fletch was king of cutting firewood, sometimes spending as much as ten weeks making sure he had enough. He attended the Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley D. (Stevens) Fletcher and eight siblings, Robert, Jenny, Elouise, June, Emeline, Irene, Blaine and Bill.

Surviving are his three children, Randall Fletcher, Christina Hartman and Lisa (Timothy) Bowen all of Middlebourne, WV; grandchildren, Richard Lee (Brittany Haugh) and Timothy Bowen, Jr.; great grandchildren, Graysin McMullen, Fiona McMullen and Oliver McMullen; sisters, Nancy Fletcher Wade (Bill) Hartwell of Middlebourne, WV and Carol Chillik of New Franklin, OH; the biggest love in his life, since he lost his wife, his canine – Maggie Doodle and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
