Jacqueline Ann Erdman Crumrine
Jacqueline Ann Erdman Crumrine, age 93, passed away peacefully at Acts Retirement Methodist Manor House in Seaford, Delaware on December 27, 2024. Jackie was born on August 29, 1931 in
Laurel, Delaware to the late Charles Carroll Erdman and Blanche Gootee Erdman. She graduated from Laurel High School in the Class of 1949ã. After graduation she attended the University of
Delaware and graduated with her teaching degree in 1953. Jackie taught at Central Elementary School in Seaford for 11 years and during that time she met John Crumrine and they married on
July 11, 1964. They moved to Middlebourne, West Virginia where John farmed his family farm and Jackie taught in the Tyler County School system for 35 years, and retired from teaching in
1989. They proudly celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 11, 2014 and sadly John passed away a few months later on September 4, 2014. Jackie was a member and past President of Middlebourne United Methodist Women, a 50 years member of New Martinsville Chapter No50 Eastern Star, American Legion Auxiliary past President and 66 year member, member of Alma Seniors, member of Alma Grange, member of Tyler County Retired Teachers Association and past President, and member of the West Virginia Retired Teachers Association. Jackie was also a member of
Middlebourne United Methodist Church and Centenary United Methodist Church. She is survived by her cousins, Agnes O Neal, Alice Layton, Michael Henry, Judy Dunn, and Bettie Macintire (Bob Macintire); nieces, Mary Crumrine Long (Richard) and Charlene Crumrine Hughes; nephew, James A. Crumrine. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband John W. Crumrine; cousins, Verna Disharoon and Robert Wheatley; and her niece Patty Crumrine Safreed. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 2pm at ACTS-Manor House, 1001 Middleford Road, Seaford, Delaware 19973. Graveside service and interment will be at a later date in Middlebourne, West Virginia. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to
