John Lee Parr Jr.

John Lee Parr Jr., 62 of Middlebourne, WV, formerly of Weirton and Wellsburg, WV, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at UPMC Washington, PA.

John was born on January 6, 1962 in Sistersville, OH. He was the son of Wanda (Eddy) Parr and the late John Parr Sr.

John was a graduate of Brooke High School. He went on to serve his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps for six years. John was a member of the Indian Creek Southern Baptist Church, Alma, WV. He worked as a registered nurse in the Ohio Valley from Trinity Medical Center, Weirton Medical Center and Wheeling Medical Park. Many will remember John for his love of hunting, playing pool and a good political debate; but most of all, spending time at church and with his beloved family.

In addition to his father, John was preceded in death by his son, Jonathan Parr and a brother, Scott Parr.

In addition to his mother, John is survived by his five children, Victoria Parr, fiance, Jeremy Walton of Follansbee, WV, Ciera Parr, Makayla Parr, husband, Adrian Bogayong of Virginia, Sgt Mark Parr with the US Space Force stationed in Hawaii, Jacob Parr, wife, Alexis of Cadiz, OH, two grandchildren with an additional on the way, Michael and Jaxon Parr, four siblings, Gary Parr of Wellsburg, WV, Neil Parr, wife, Carol of Billiant, OH, Rita Parr-Lantz, husband, Dave Lantz of Follansbee, WV and Brian Parr, wife, Becky of Wellsburg and numerous nieces and nephews.

Viewing Friday 5-8 PM at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304)527-1717, Saturday 12 Noon till Funeral at 2 PM at the Indian Creek Southern Baptist Church, Alma, WV. Interment will follow at Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Tyler County.
