Thelma Virginia Davis

Thelma Virginia Davis, 79, of Alma, WV left this world on Sunday, September 1, 2024 while at her home.

Thelma was born April 4, 1945, in Wick, WV daughter of the late Everett and Margaret (Dotson) Monroe.

She was a former employee of Colin Anderson, North Bend State Park and Pennsboro Garment Factory. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking, gardening, cleaning and spending time with her family. Thelma’s favorite thing to do was shopping at Goodwill. She was a Baptist by faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert H. Davis; son, Roy Dewayne Davis; sister, Dolly Davis and two brothers, Dale J. Monroe and Roger D. Monroe.

Surviving are her grandchildren, Sheena McCormick of Alma, WV, Brittany (Dewayne) Payne of Greenwood, WV and Ashley (Nicholas) Eads of Buckhannon, WV; step-son, Roger Davis of Middlebourne, WV; two sisters, Wanda Davis of Alma, WV and Beulaha Henton of Middlebourne, WV; five great grandchildren, Austin, David, Kylee, Jacob and Hudson and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

At Thelma’s request private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Springhill Cemetery in Joseph’s Mills, WV.
