Mabel was a member of the Victory Chapel, United Methodist Church where she held the position of recorder and treasurer for many years. Mabel enjoyed gardening, camping, reading, canning, cooking, sewing, listening to music, traveling to the mountains of WV and most of all spending time with her family. Her home was always open to visitors, and they were always greeted with open arms, a big smile and a place at her table. One never left Mabel’s house hungry! She loved her “little farm in the country” her life was spent making her house a home and she was so grateful for it. She always appreciated the beauty in the things around her, especially flowers, birds and mountains. She enjoyed camping in the mountains with her kids and grandkids, going on the annual beach trip and going to events to watch her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids perform.
Mabel loved the Good Lord with all her heart and had strong faith. She wanted everyone she loved and anyone she encountered to know the love of God, so she shared the gospel in her conversations and lived a life that exemplified the characteristics of a godly woman.
The family would like thank Lisa Boyd and Karen Kimble for the wonderful care they gave to Mabel the last several months.
