Larry Winford Baker
Larry Winford Baker, 86, of Middlebourne, WV died two days after losing the love of his life, Dorma Baker on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 peacefully at his home.
Larry was born April 14, 1938, in Alvy, WV son of the late Benton B. and Carrie C. (Orr) Baker.
He was a retired driller for Quaker State Oil Company, well known for his “tinkering on things”, enjoyed camping, working on old cars and was a back yard mechanic for many years and member of the Middlebourne Lodge No 34 A.F.&A.M.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorma Baker on April 29, 2024; siblings, Doris Jean (Robert) Talkington, Elmer (Marie) Baker, Charles Wayne (Lorriane) Baker, James (Jeannie) Baker and Robert “Bobby” (Dixie) Baker; brother-in-law, Floyd McMinn.
Surviving are his three children, Patrick Keller of Middlebourne, WV, Michael (Hyechung) Keller of Fort Walton, FL and Sandra (Michael) Kiernan of Oak Ridge, NC; five grandchildren, Matthew Keller, Alex Keller, Jessica Keller, Michael Kiernan and Ryan Kiernan; four sisters, Majorie McMinn of Middlebourne, WV, Mary Ann (Henry) Richards of West Union, WV, Nancy (Bradford) Crouse of West Union, WV and Barbara (Phil) Tracy of Montrose, WV and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
At Larry’s request there will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tyler County Senior Center, 504 Cherry St., Middlebourne, WV 26149.
