Elouese Shreve Smith, 86, of Middlebourne, formerly of Centerville, departed this life Friday, May 13, 2016, in Wetzel County Hospital, New Martinsville.
She was born October 6, 1929, a daughter of the late Dallas and Lucy Senate Shreve.
Elouese loved her Lord and her family. She was a dedicated care-giver to her daughter for 64 years. She enjoyed when neighbors stopped by to visit or call. She was a member of the Ripley United Methodist Church, Alma.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren K. Smith; a daughter, Peggy Sue Smith; a brother, Bill Shreve; and three sisters, Dorothy Shreve, Mary Travis and Genieve Swisher.
Eloeuse is survived by three sons; Michael (Karen) Smith, Jeff (Ricki) Smith, all of Middlebourne and Jay (Dana) Smith, Huger, S.C.; sister, Helen Shreve, Sistersville; grand children, Rusty (fiance’ Trish) Smith, Michelle (Bill) Carroll, Sara (Michael) Conner, Nathan (Sabrina) Smith, Jennifer (Duke) Hamicher, Annie (Drew) Moore, Bailey (Taylor) Smith, Katie (fiance’ BJ) Smith and Emily Smith; 10 great-grandsons and four great-granddaughters.
Family was received 7-9 p.m. Monday at Furbee Funeral Home, Middlebourne where services were held 11 a.m. Tuesday with Reverend Donald Thomas officiating. Interment in Beechwood Cemetery, Alma.
