Ray Dalrymple, 72, of Friendly, passed away March 9, 2010.

He was born September 21, 1937, a son of the late Charles H. Dalrymple and Lillian Cunningham Dalrymple.

He was retired from the WV State Department of Highways and was a member of the Hope Fellowship Church.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Cooper Dalrymple; sons, Bill (Angie) Dalrymple of St. Mary’s, Rick Fluharty of Sistersville, Ed Fluharty of Friendly and Tim Fluharty of Friendly; daughters, Kimberly Fluharty of New Martinsville and Becky Fluharty of Amarillo, TX; brothers, Melvin Dalrymple of Middlebourne and Junior Dalrymple of Sistersville; sister, Isabelle Hamilton of Friendly; twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Howard, Brady, Benny, Jim and Clark Dalrymple and sisters, Minnie Wells, Hattie Wilkinson, Opal Crawford, Dorothy Dalrymple and Gladys Barnhart.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Myers Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Williamson officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Friendly Cemetery.
