Power & Prevention Carnival Held on Alumni Weekend
Families gathered for a day of fun, resources and community connection during the recent “Welcome to the Wild West” Power and Prevention Carnival sponsored by the Tyler County Family Resource Network.
Held at the Tyler County Family Support Center prior to the Sistersville High School Alumni Parade, the event provided a festive opportunity for local families to come together while promoting prevention awareness, education and healthy community connections.
Concerns about rainy weather vanished as skies cleared, and the carnival atmosphere offered attendees the chance to visit with community organizations, learn about valuable local services and strengthen ties with agencies committed to supporting individuals and families throughout Tyler County. Some of the favorite give-aways were kid’s cowboy hats, bandannas, popcorn, bags and bottled water.
Organizers credited the success of the event to the many participating vendors and community partners who shared information and gave encouragement with those attending.
