The Local Farmers Market, located at Sistersville Park in Sistersville, West Virginia, was born out of a desire to help meet the growing need for food supply in the Sistersville area.

Quickly the Local Farmers Market realized they had a secondary, yet equally important goal: fostering a sense of community by providing opportunities, promoting health, and showcasing local, Appalachian talents. The farmers’ market has organized multiple events throughout the season to reach this goal and plan to end the season with the biggest event yet.

On Tuesday, October 22nd, From 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM, the Local Farmers Market will be hosting their first annual Fall Fest. Live entertainment, caramel apple decorating, pumpkin painting, hayrides, Heather Housel Photography Mini Sessions, paint your own cookies and a costume contest are some of the activities being offered. These fun fall themed events will partner with the regular Local Farmers Market’s vendors to produce a one-of-a-kind season ending celebration.

The market is always looking for new and exciting events, entertainers, and magic makers to add to the fun. Do you churn apple butter or make live wood carvings? Are you a cartoonist? Can you juggle, twist balloons into cool creations, or pull a bunny out of your hat? Does your salon install tinsel or feathers? Do you host wreath making sessions, paint tutorials, or bracelet making shows? Do you sell fresh cut flowers? Whatever it is… Contact the Local Farmers Market.
