Breigh Ann Stillwagner awarded Scholarship
For the past 12 years the “Class of ’61” has sponsored a Paden City Foundation (PCF) scholarship. Paden City can proudly state that for the past quarter century all PCHS college attending graduates received a scholarship. This is quite an accomplishment for the PCF, the Wildcat alumni and the proud community of Paden City. The PCHS “Class of ’61” expresses our appreciation to the PCF for sponsoring and implementing this excellent program. Thank you to our á61 classmates for consistently supporting this cause. The PCF has ultimate responsible for selecting the awardees. The PCF have been quite generous in honoring our requests.
The “Class of ’61” is proud to announce that a class legacy, Breigh Ann Stillwagner, was awarded the “Class of ’61” scholarship. Breigh is the granddaughter of Linda Menges Stillwagner (PCHS á61) and Pat Stillwagner (PCHS ’70).
Breigh Ann was extremely active while attending PCHS. She is a hard-working person that shared her love for life by her giving and her leadership. Her diverse experiences have prepared her for her next stages of life. She served as a lifeguard for three years. This summer she will be working at the Elementary School’s Energy Express assisting and guiding young children. Breigh’s leadership contributed to the trove of band trophies that PCHS has accumulated the past six years. She was the 2021 & 2022 “Field Commander’. Breigh plays French horn. She was a member the Wetzel County thespian group “The Griffin Players” and performed in many shows. She participated in the Matthew Barker memorial cardboard boat regatta for two years earning a trip to compete in the national Wooden Boat competition. She was the PCHS Freshman Homecoming Princess. Two years of her high school participation were impacted by the dreaded Covid pandemic that deprived her and her classmates of many activities and opportunities. One can only applaud these young people for the way they adapted and yet, achieved so much. Breigh remains active in her church and continues to share her leadership skills by mentoring young people. Breigh is the daughter of Brian Stillwagner- (PCHS ’98). Linda and Pat played an important role in Breigh’s development. It is so great to see our class traditions carried forward by such an accomplished student. Breigh Ann has been accepted to West Virginia Northern Community College to pursue a path in education. Congratulations, Breigh, for your many achievements! Go forward and make the Classes of à61 and á22 Wildcat proud.
