Couple asks for help in Haiti

By Staff | Jan 20, 2010

Locals Gary and Caroline Walker have been involved in Touch Ministries for 20 years. The ministry was given to them in 2000 and they are currently living in St. Marc, Haiti, doing the Lord’s work.

In St. Marc the Walkers have an orphanage, school, and ministry just 70 miles north of Port-au-Prince. The Walkers are asking for help in aiding those affected by the tragic earthquake that hit Port-au-Prince Jan. 12.

Touch Ministries is beginning to save the outworking of the devastation in Port-au-Prince as fear grips those who are homeless, hungry, and injured. But prices are rapidly rising.

The Walkers are asking for monetary donations that will help in various ways such as food, medical supplies, funerals, etc.

Because supply packages will be delayed for weeks due to this situation it is requested that only money be sent. One hundred percent of the donations will be sent to the Walkers to purchase supplies in Haiti.

Please send donations to: Touch Ministries, Inc., 417 Rebecca Street, New Martinsville, WV 26155. Sharol Stine, the administrator, will collect donations and forward them through Western Union to the Walkers.

Make checks payable to Touch Ministries, Inc. and write “Earthquake Victims” on the memo line or provide such information otherwise on cash donations.

All donations are tax deductible.
