Al and Judy Spencer celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 31.

Judy is the daughter of the late Elden and Lenna Belle (Shields) Smith of Smithburg, W.Va.

Al is the son of the late Harley and Ruth (Folger) Spencer.

Al is retired from PPG Industries and Judy still works at Dudley’s Florist in Sistersville.

They are the parents of three children: Holly (Joe) Clawson of Dayton, Ohio; Barry (Kathy) Spencer of Avon, Ohio; and Stephanie (Erasmo) Najar of Smyrna, Ga.

They have seven grandsons and one granddaughter: Joseph, Eli, Oliver, Fenton, and Henry Clawson; and Ty, Jacob, and Riley Spencer.

Al and Judy were united in the former Archbold Methodist Church in Smithburg.
