Everett and Brenda Simmons

Everett and Brenda Simmons of Sistersville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, August 24.

They were united in marriage in New Martinsville, WV in 1963.

Everett is the son of the late Otis and Pearl (Gilbert) Simmons of New Martinsville. He is retired from Ormet. The couple also owned Photography by Simmons.

Brenda is the daughter of the late Fred and Pauline (Hicks) Hixenbaugh of Burton, WV. She is retired from Wetzel County Schools.

They are the parents of two children, Michael and his wife JoBeth of New Martinsville and Diane and her husband Tom of St. Albans. Their family is made complete with four grandchildren, Drew and Dillon Simmons and Luke and Anna Lumadue.

They celebrated their anniversary with a trip to Canada.
