Donahue-Wood exchange vows

Kerri Greer Donahue, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Donahue I of Milton and the late Gloria Donahue, was united in marriage to Joshua Corvi Wood, son of Rick and Lisa Leach of Mineral Wells, W.Va. and Grayson and Mary Ann Wood of LaFayette, Ga. on May 28 at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Charleston, W.Va.

The Reverend Janet Harmon and Pastor George Web officiated the double ring ceremony. Music was provided by Tandem Strings Quartet and vocalist Ashley Gallion.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a Simone Carvalli gown of ivory silk satin featuring an alluring pleated neckline, rushing and handmade flower petals with Swarovski crystals. The dramatic fit-to-flair skirt had a chapel train. The cathedral veil had a scalloped edge with floral beading and was worn with a floral jeweled headband. The bride wore a pearl ring that belonged to her mother.

Wedding colors were chocolate, clover green and fuchsia. The wedding theme was the dragonfly.

Matron of Honor was Keitina Donahue-Lunsford, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Holley Donahue, sister-in-law of the bride; Alexis Leach, sister of the groom; and Tracy Gaskins, sorority sister. The bride’s cousins Katherine and Elizabeth Obrokta and niece Elayna Lunsford were flower girls.

The bridesmaids wore clover satin strapless ball gowns with matching sashes, and pick-up skirts. The bouquets included mother-of-pearl and rhinestone dragonfly brooches.

Best man was Keith Donahue II, best friend of the groom and brother of the bride. Groomsmen were Drew Mason and Gentry Buchanan, best friends of the groom; and Ricky Leach, step-brother of the groom. Ushers were Kristofer Vance and Jarred Call, friends of the groom. Ring bearer was Michael Lunsford Jr., nephew of the bride.

The men wore modern pinstriped chocolate brown tuxedos. The groom wore a patterned ivory vest and tie. The groomsmen wore clover vests and ties.

Guest book attendant was Kay Belinda Robertson.

A reception was held in the sculpture garden of The Clay Center with dinner and dancing following in the Benedum Grand Lobby and featuring vocal performances by Master of Ceremonies Neil Thunder.

The couple spent their honeymoon touring the Hawaiian Islands.

Dr. Kerri Donahue-Wood is the granddaughter of Reverend and Mrs. Farris Burton, Sr. and Mrs. Juanita Cook. Mr. Josh Wood is the grandson of Mrs. Dorothy King.

The couple has made their home in Ona, W.Va.
