Elks Lodge honors students of the month
Sistersville Elks Lodge #333 is pleased to announce their Teenagers/Junior Teenagers of the month for November.
They are: Adriane Rine, Evan Cline, Kali Shanabarger, and Marcus Nichols.
Elks Teenagers of the month are:
Adriane Rine is a senior at Tyler Consolidated High School and carries a 4.0 grade point average. She is the daughter of Roger and Kathy Rine of Sistersville.
Adriane is a member of TCHS marching band, concert band, jazz band, and pep band. She is a member of Project Pediatrics, Schools for Schools, National Honor Society, Student Council, and Hi-Y, and performs community service projects at Adam’s House Ministries, Olive Branch Rescue, and is an alcoyle at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Middlebourne, and Mater Dolorosa in Paden City.
Other honors Adriane has earned include Rhododendron Girl’s State, Who’s Who Among All-American Scholars award for history and science, United States Achievement Academy award for science, Daughters of the American Revolution award, and First Federal Bank Top 15 Per Cent Banquet.
Evan Cline, son of Bryon and Janet Cline of Sistersville, is also a TCHS senior and carries a 3.2 grade point average.
Evan served as captain of the TCHS Silver Knights football team and plays basketball as well. He is a member of the FBLA and TSA clubs.
Evan volunteers at TCHS and TCMS sporting events and plans to attend West Virginia University after graduation.
Elks Junior Teenagers of the month are:
Kali Shanabarger is an eighth grader at TCMC and is the daughter of Paul Shanabarger and Tammy Basset of Middlebourne. She carries a 3.2 grade point average and is a member of the TCMS marching band and pep band. She also participates in softball and 4-H.
Kali’s community service interests include Relay for Life and Tyler County Fair.
Marcus Nichols is an eighth grader at TCMS and carries a 4.0 grade point average. He is the son of Brandy George of Middlebourne.
Marcus’s activities include hunting, fishing, soccer, and riding four-wheelers. He is a member of the soccer club and the National Junior Honor Society.
Marcus volunteers in the community at the fire hall, mows yards and works in the garden, works the concession stand at the Tyler Co. Fair, and tutors children.
