Eileen C. Smittle will celebrate her 90th birthday on Oct. 2.

She was born in 1919 and graduated from Magnolia High School and was married to the late Walter Smittle Jr.

They had four children, Barbara K. Fitzgerald, Walter Smittle III, Lance Edward Smittle, and Jan Keith Smittle.

In her honor, on Oct. 3 (Saturday) from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., an open house reception with light refreshments will be served.
