Children attending the Sistersville Public Library’s Summer Reading Program enjoyed a memorable day of learning and excitement when Oglebay Zoo animal handler Dylan visited with some special animal ambassadors.

The program featured Rocco the armadillo, a friendly ferret, and a snake, giving youngsters the opportunity to see the animals up close while learning about their habitats, behaviors, and the importance of wildlife conservation.

In addition to the animal presentation, children took part in a variety of crafts and activities that kept them engaged throughout the day.

Librarian Sabrina Kyle said she was very pleased with the turnout and was delighted to see so many families participating in the Summer Reading Program. She noted that the combination of hands-on crafts and the live animal presentation made for an enjoyable and educational experience for everyone in attendance.
