Rosenlieb Honored As Citizen Of The Year By Elks Lodge 333
Past Exalted Ruler Mitch Corley Presents Taylor with Citizenship Award
Taylor Rosenlieb was named Citizen of the Year by BPOE Elks Lodge 333 in recognition of other leadership, entrepreneurship, and commitment to improving life in the Sistersville community.
A lifelong advocate for community connection and healthy living, Rosenlieb, a local resident and mother of three young children, founded the Local Farmers Market in 2024 filling a void after the closure of the community’s IGA grocery store left residents facing limited access to fresh food options.
Recognizing a growing need, Rosenlieb stepped forward to create an initiative that would help address what many considered a developing food desert in the community.
Under her leadership, The Local Farmers Market quickly evolved into much more than a place to purchase fresh produce and homemade goods.
Vendors from across the region brought fresh foods, baked items and handmade products while the market also became a gathering place for residents of all ages.
The market featured arts and crafts activities, children’s games, a bubble machine, exercise classes, and opportunities for neighbors and families to socialize and strengthen community connections.
Building upon the success of the outdoor market, Rosenlieb has expanded the vision with the development of The Local Collective Market, a new brick and mortar location currently under construction in the former laundromat building on diamond street across from the Sistersville City Building.
Plans for the new space include a fresh food and nutrient dense market, along with community meeting areas and spaces for educational programs, wellness activities and classes designed to further strengthen community involvement.
Rosenlieb’s efforts continue to receive regional recognition. Most recently, the Wetzel-Tyler Chamber of Commerce honored The Local Collective Market during its 2026 community awards celebration naming the organization “Nonprofit of the Year.”
The Citizen Of The Year award from Elks Lodge 333 serves as another testimony to Rosenlieb’s commitment to service in her community. Congratulations are certainly due to Taylor and the many volunteers, vendors, supporters and community partners who have helped advance this important effort in Sistersville.
