TCHS Announces Graduates

By Randy Rutherford - Staff Writer | May 27, 2026

The Tyler Consolidated High School Class of 2026 officially turned their tassels during a memorable graduation ceremony held on the evening of May 21 at Silver Knights Stadium.

Dressed in traditional caps and gowns, 81 graduates entered the stadium to the sound of “Pomp and Circumstance,” greeted by proud families, friends and faculty. The ceremony featured remarks from school administrators, student speakers, and honored guests, all celebrating the accomplishments of the class and encouraging them as they take their next steps into adulthood.

Speakers included the 2026 Valedictorian Katie Grimm, Salutatorian Mckenzie Utt, Macey Shuman, Senior Class President and Paden Morris, Principal.

The evening included musical performances by the TCHS band, the presentation of diplomas, and a symbolic turning of the tassels and tossing of the hats marking the official transition from students to alumni.

With the ceremony now part of Tyler County history, the Class of 2026 leaves behind a legacy of perseverance and pride and is ready to make their mark on the world.
