Agricultural Sciences Building Holds Ribbon Cutting

The Tyler County FFA chapter welcomed community members, students, and dignitaries on Thursday, April 23, 2026, for an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the completion of the remodeled Linda L. Hoover Agricultural Sciences Building at Tyler Consolidated High School.
The event marked a significant milestone for the school’s agricultural education program, showcasing updated facilities designed to better serve students pursuing studies in agriculture and related fields.
Tyler Consolidated High School Principal Paden Morris opened the ceremony with welcoming remarks, emphasizing the importance of agricultural education in the region and the opportunities the renovated building will provide for future generations.
Following Morris’s remarks, FFA student Kaylin Eastham led attendees in the Pledge of Allegiance and delivered the FFA Creed, highlighting the organization’s values of leadership, personal growth, and career success.
West Virginia State FFA President William Waddy then addressed the crowd, which included students, faculty, and local leaders. Waddy commended the Tyler County FFA chapter for its accomplishments and praised the thoughtful design and improvements made to the new facility. He noted that the upgraded building reflects the strength and dedication of the program and its supporters.

The ceremony concluded with the official ribbon cutting led by Linda Hoover inviting guests to tour the remodeled space and see firsthand the enhancements made to support agricultural science education in Tyler County.
