PEO to Hold Junk in the Trunk & Baked Food Sale

The 4th annual Junk In The Trunk and Baked Food Sale fundraiser is set to bring bargains, sweets and some community spirit to New Martinsville on Saturday, May 2, 2026. Hosted by P.E.O. Chapter U, the event will run from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Saint Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 21 Rosary Road in the Klug Hall parking lot of New Martinsville.
Shoppers can browse a wide variety of treasures while enjoying homemade baked goods all in support of a meaningful cause. In the event of inclement weather, a makeup date will be announced.
Event organizer and member Mary Ferrebee shared, “Not only have past sales been extremely successful, but our participating members had a wonderful day enjoying each other’s company as well as those who stopped to shop.” Mary went on to say their home baked goods proved extremely popular and sold out quickly!
P.E.O., which stands for Philanthropic Educational Organization, celebrates women and has been helping them reach for the stars for more than 150 years. P.E.O. is a nonprofit organization and assists women to pursue educational goals by providing grants, scholarships, awards and low interest loans. Through their membership, the PEO sisterhood has brought together more than half a million women in the United States and Canada, who are passionate about helping women advance through education while supporting and motivating them.
