Tyler County Magistrates Hear Misdemeanor Cases

Scott Daniel Babb-Traub, 33, of Middlebourne was charged with the misdemeanor offense of violation of protection order – repeat offenses alleged to occur January 21, 2022. Babb-Traub’s initial appearance is set for February 11, 2022.

Robert Charles Harris, 33, of Sistersville was charged with the misdemeanor offense of possession of marijuana alleged to occur January 6, 2022. Harris entered a guilty plea, resulting in a guilty deferred sentence with court costs on January 21, 2022.

Harris was also charged with operation without a certification inspection or failure to produce certificate alleged to occur January 6, 2022. Harris also entered a guilty plea to that charge on January 21, 2022 and was sentenced to a fine and court costs.

Ryan C. Hickman, 36, of Jacksonburg was charged with the misdemeanor offenses of driving while license revoked – DUI, knowingly or intentionally possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription – methamphetamine and knowingly or intentionally possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription – buprenorphine alleged to occur November 19, 2021. Hickman’s initial appearance is set for February 14, 2022.

Wyatt Christopher Kemp, 22, of Friendly was charged with the misdemeanor offenses of possession of wildlife and conspiracy to violate chapter (DNR); withholding information; obstructing officer both alleged to occur January 31, 2022. Kemp entered a guilty plea to both charges on January 31, 2022 and was sentenced to court costs and fined for both charges.

Brian Scott Northcraft, 37, of Sistersville was charged with the misdemeanor offenses of domestic battery and unlawful restraint of another person alleged to occur January 22, 2022. Northcraft entered a not guilty plea to both charges on January 22, 2022. Northcraft’s pre-trial is set for February 17, 2022.
