Circuit Court Judge Jeffrey D. Cramer Sentences Wade To Prison

James D. Wade age 50, of 179 Woodburn Run Rd. Alma, WVa. appeared in Tyler County Cirucit Court on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, alongside his court appointed attorney Lynnsie Parsons, for a plea hearing before the Honorable Judge Jeffery D. Cramer. Tyler County Prosecuting Attorney Luke Furbee was present representing the State.

On or about September 3, 202, James D. Wade allegedly was charged with one count felony offense of driving while license revoked for driving under the influence of alcohol third and subsequent offense, one count felony fleeing in a vehicle with reckless indifference, and one misdemeanor count of assualt on a law enforcement officer.

Wade,entered guilty pleas this morning to the felony offenses of driving revoked for DUI-3rd or subsequent offense, and fleeing in a vehicle with reckless indifference. He also pled no contest to misdemeanor assault on a law enforcement officer. He was sentenced immediately to an effective 2-8 year prison term, to be served consecutively with a sentence he is already serving from Wetzel County, and fined in a total amount of $4,000.

Judge Cramer ordered the first two charges of felony DUI and felony fleeing to be served consecutively and the misdemeanor charge of assualt on a law enforcement to run concurrently with charges one and two. Furthermore all three charges are to run consecutively to the charges James D. Wade is currently serving from Wetzel County.

He was indicted at October Term, 2021. The charges followed a vehicle pursuit from Indian Creek to near the Wetzel County line on September 3, 2021. He was remanded to Huttonsville Correctional Center, to finish the remainder of his sentence.
